Frank and I decided to head to GMR for a Shack and "back". We met up at Euro Cafe and it was a nice paced ride to the base of Glendora Mountain Road. It was a little cold, but I knew once we started climbing we'd heat up quickly. We kept a talking pace up to the Shack and I have to admit, I pushed the pace a little at the last decent/climb before the guard shack. I slowly increased the pace, little by little, trying not to tip off Frank of my plan. If he caught on, Frank would just drop down in gears and sprint past me if I didn't time it right. He knew what I was doing and we finished to the shack at the same time.
Once at the top of Monroe, we headed down East Fork and climbed out of Hwy 39. East Fork and Hwy 39 were uneventful and quiet. Very little car traffic on the weekdays is nice.
At the bottom of Azusa Ave we stopped at a taco shop and had lunch.
