Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Damn Thieves

I was walking the kids to our local 7 Eleven for Slurpees when I came upon this cut bicycle lock.  So sad, and I was actually bugged by this.  A stolen bicycle.  I imagined the anger and sadness the owner must have felt when he/she came back to retrieve their bike.

I guess no bike is safe from eager thieves.  So sad ...

That photo says so much...very sad comment on society and a good reminder that nothing is safe from thieves whatever you do...!!
If they are determined enough they will steal it...the best we can do is try to make it as difficult for them as we can.

Yes, so true. If a thief wants it bad enough it will be stolen. I am thinking about buying an On Guard Mastiff Chain. Something big and bulky and at just the sight of it, it can be a deterrent.
