Ride a bike, share your experience and love. When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Glendora Mountain Road

With no racing on the weekend schedule, I decided on a training ride up Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy.

Michael and I headed up at about 6:45 am and dropped into the village at about 9:20 am.  It was a quiet ride, Michael, sped past as usual, and I solo many sections until the village.

Once in the village we decided to head home.  I had thoughts of finishing the ride with a loop around Bonelli but we were pressed for time and decided to cut the ride "short".

While riding home we played with the idea of a Baldy to the Beach ride.  The idea would be to ride from my house in Pomona to GMR to Mt Baldy and then hop on SGVT and head to the beach.

Baldy to the Beach sounds like something in the semi near future!
